Mars
I have been getting a few old blowers freed up and working and am going to paint them . Does anyone know what colors those things originally were? Or have any recommendations? Thanks. Mars
yves
My two 400 are black. I dont think they were ever repainted. For suggestions, Google images.

SReynolds
what little remains............... I like 'em original (The rusty brown) or black. I would never knowingly paint one red. Most paint them black.
Kozzy
If you had a little Chinese woo in you, you would paint it green. The theory is if you paint tooling the color of money it helps create more money for you.... Be sure you don't have anything reflective pointing at the shop door either or the feng shui will reflect both money and good luck back out the door so you won't get the benefits. The champion 400 we have at the museum appears to have original paint and is a fairly deep red--maybe a little orangy tinge from sun fade over the years.
