Anyone tried this and if so in what concentrations? I assume the results would be similar to vinegar as it would be acidic? "pH down" probably connotes a solution that would lower the pH. and make it more acidic. pH 7 is neutral and pH 7 and up is a basic solution. ThomasPowers Posted August 15, 2016 Share Posted August 15, 2016 As I recall it was something like sparex #1 and if it's going to change the properties of 100's of gallons of water it probably is fairly strong when sourced. I know nothing about pools and what the product is actually used for so you guys are probably correct. I'm willing to try it out but I'm not chemist and I want to be as safe as possible.
