Sam Salvati Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Here is alittle forged whale, made from (i think) wrought iron, i had folded and forge welded a rod about 1/2 as thick round as a pencil until i ended up with this little billet and thought "wow that looks like a whale" so i chiseled in the fins and tail, and punched the eyes. I hope you like him, one of my very first successful peices of art. Quote
Ted T Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Sam, Tool and Weapons Maker, Treadle Hammer Maker, Maker of Crows, and now a whale! The question I ask myself is: What Next? You make blacksmithing fun , as I think it should be Sam. Please keep it up! Be safe! Old Rusty Ted Quote

Phil Patrick Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 "Aye, aye! and I'll chase him round Good Hope, and round the horn, and round the norway maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give him up. And this is what ye have shipped for, men! to chase that white whale on both sides of land, and over all sides of earth, till he spouts black blood and rolls fin out. What say ye, men, will ye splice hands on it, now? I think ye do look brave." Moby Dick Quote
