Took a punt on an eBay anvil with a limited description and picked up this nice little Soderfors 70b. my first anvil. woo hoo. sorry about the upside down pic. can't seem to change it. I don't really need to do my usual location thing on you do I? I don't see a weld, though it's not as dramatic mine has the same grind pattern. I believe the mold had a slight over hang on the face and grinding them flush with the body makes a distinctive transition from the casting marks to ground steel. You are going to LOVE that little beauty just be aware she's LOUD. I put mine on a steel stand and brought her voice to a manageable level, my 125lb Soderfors would make your ears ring through muffs and plugs with a missed blow.
