    yep I second scrambler we use them here in the fishing fleet 

    also logging cables but the tool is much bigger & metal & splicing cable is NO fun !!

    It's a sharpening stone for knives. I have 2 that I picked up at auctions. One of them brand new in the box. They are made in Germany.

    My wife found this in a small shop and got it for me for Christmas just past- it came from the shop with a small sticker that said "What is it?".

    Knife sharpener is kind of ironic since I am a knifemaker :)
