Ernie42141
Team was thinking of trying to make a knife out of a broken breaker bar. Could be fairly long. I'm still new at this. Thoughts

Frozenforge
Like Charles said, if chrome plated, remove the chrome BEFORE putting it in the forge. Look up Hexavalent Chromium health hazards. If it is matt black should be ok, I have seen some tools with what looks like a black chrome finish, I don't know what process is used to create it so I would be cautious.
