Playing with a new to me type of folder. Body's half a horseshoe, blade's 5160 scrap, copper pins, and a leather spacer. A little heavy, but not too bad. Might shave the inside down a bit on the next one. Wife provides the shoes, she gets the prototype. Pics are loading sideways, so make sure and turn your head.

Nah, just a friction folder type, and the blade/spine fetches up against the pin as a stop. It was a little loose, so I put a leather washer in it, firmed it enough. No pics today, my wife's off giving riding lessons.

That's really cool! How is horseshoe steel, does it make for a good knife?

Forging carver go back to the top and read his discription. It tells what the blade is made of.

OH duh, how did I miss that.

Been working on some larger ones, and ground down the insides of the handles; it really cut the weight.

New version, longer, lighter, niftier.
