Nobody Special
Playing with a new to me type of folder. Body's half a horseshoe, blade's 5160 scrap, copper pins, and a leather spacer. A little heavy, but not too bad. Might shave the inside down a bit on the next one. Wife provides the shoes, she gets the prototype. Pics are loading sideways, so make sure and turn your head. Frozenthunderbolt
Thanks for the idea NBS, there is no locking mechanism in this one correct? Could we get a picture of the spine view open and closed?
Nobody Special
Nah, just a friction folder type, and the blade/spine fetches up against the pin as a stop. It was a little loose, so I put a leather washer in it, firmed it enough. No pics today, my wife's off giving riding lessons.

Forging Carver
That's really cool! How is horseshoe steel, does it make for a good knife?
tdaleh
Forging carver go back to the top and read his discription. It tells what the blade is made of.

Nobody Special
Been working on some larger ones, and ground down the insides of the handles; it really cut the weight.
