October 23, 201510 yr Not bad at all, tho a cuple of punched and counter sunk holes would look beter with the screws. Might try a forged nail with a roset head insted
October 23, 201510 yr Author Thanks Charles! I totally agree! I learn new stuff everytime I'm on here and in the garage! I'm currently gathering parts for a small coffee can forge at the moment.. I got a side burner all fit up just need to find some refactory/insulation
October 23, 201510 yr Personaly I like solid fuel and a bellows when I'm "playing" at home, quiet, and rythmick, very Zen
October 25, 201510 yr Author I can definetly see that being very peaceful! If I could find a coal supplier local I would
October 25, 201510 yr the "local" coal supplier to me is a 5 hour drive each way; quite likely that Charles' supplier is closer than that to you...
October 25, 201510 yr Join the saltfork craftsmen, I think it's a $140 a ton, at on of the three coal piles, northwest, central and south east if I remember. The Norman pile is closest to me, but I use a lot of scrap wood and forge with charcoal. Or you can hit TS and get hard coal, I also imagine if their is a farrier supply up your way they can order it (Nature farms in Norman caries it) Edited October 25, 201510 yr by Charles R. Stevens
