I use stick, oxy acetylene , & forge welding. Stick and acetylene are both very versatile and the equipment is comparatively cheap as compared to a decent mig setup.

Stick will do very heavy welds, its easy to change out and theres a wide variety of rods. Mig is definitely cleaner, easier to master and superior in production mode.

For the small stuff I use the oxy acetylene. The torch is useful for a whole lot of other things too.

For cutting and heating I have an Allstates propane torch.

TIG because it's what's usually set up and since I mainly do small jobs it takes less time to tig the project than it would to tare the system appart to set it up for stick.

I use a miller thunderbolt ac/dc and a oxy/ace rig for brazing and spot heat

At home I run hf OA guages and torch, and a 110 CH wire feed. Just got a century stick machine, but need to run 220 to the shop. At "work" I use an ESAB Multi-Master for mig and stick, and try to "borrow" one of the other guys MillerMatics whenever I get the chance. The shop runs propane and Ox to a variety of torches.
