Damion78 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 This is my second attempt at a cobbler hammer that I made for a friend that does leather work. It weighs in at 27 oz he wanted 24 but I over shot a bit because I wanted to give him weight to dress it. Quote
Damion78 Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Thanks a lot it was tons of fun to make. I used a chunk of the axle from the rear end off my bronco. I had to upset it quite a bit to get the face as large as I needed and it took quite a bit of beating to flatten out the peen. I was more methodical about my hammer strokes on this one and did very minimal grinding. Quote
Smithy.Travis Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Is it just the way the picture was taken, or was the eye for the handle a little crooked? Other than that, magnificent job! ~Travis Quote
Damion78 Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Thank you, the eye is a little off but the wedge makes it look more so. Quote
