I bought this anvil and some tools and a paint can forge from a friend of mine who is moving in July to Florida. He didn't have the room to take it with him and wanted it to go to a goo home. So I jumped on it.

Looks like Russian HFCS anvil not a terrible anvil mp but not great , have fun learn hammer control on it.

You have an anvil, be happy and learn how to use it. You should be able to make $130 worth of product on it in no time, and the anvil will be paid for.

 

Any money you make after that is money saved for additional  tools. I am sure you will find something (grin).

The older imported Russian anvils Harbor fraud carried were cast steel and not bad, a step above ASO for sure. I'd use it to make enough to buy more tools, amongst other things.

Looks like a good buy to me. What's the idea with the oblique hardy hole??
