navasky
Well, I ended up finding some old roofing asphalt in the attic that I'm never going to use for anything else so I just coated the underground portion of the wood with that. Biggundoctor, I'm sinking the stump cause I've read that it's ideal to, but more importantly because I have a 5 ft stump and no chainsaw. BIGGUNDOCTOR
Just make sure that is where you want it, tough to move once it is set. I always seem to be moving mine around from time to time.
navasky
I got the anvil mounted and made a hold down for it today. I got to use it a little and it sure feels different to forge on something that bounces the hammer back up for you.
Gazz
Is it some kind of trick photography or did you really bury that stump that close to the building?
navasky
Is it some kind of trick photography or did you really bury that stump that close to the building? Yeah it's pretty close but it's literally the only place on the property that will work.
