plane_crazzy
I got this in a bucket of hammers and wondered if anyone had any idea what it was off of? It does not look as though it has been cut off, it is nice and smooth. Any help is appreciated.
Jim Coke
Greetings Crazy, It looks to me like a screw form a standard bench vise... Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
Charles R. Stevens
I would agree with Jim. I've broken one or two of them, and that's what the guts look like. You might be able to reperpis it if the nut block isn't cast
plane_crazzy
I shall file it away in a pile of spare parts then, thanks fellas
Frosty
It might be part of a clamping vise like you'd find in a cutoff saw. Not that it's a fundamental difference from a vise screw but the female part reminds me of saw clamps on older machines. Frosty The Lucky. jmccustomknives
That screw looks a lot like the one in my post vice. The part on the other end is identical.
