Timmy Charles
So I was hoping that by planting my railroad track, it might sprout an anvil. It is buried 12" deep on end so that it is a more comfortable height to work at. It has also dampened the ringing noise a lot (i'm sure my neighbors are happy). I have strapped it to the log (not pictured) using a ratchet strap. So far everything is working out.
Frosty
That'll work. If you pick handy but out of the way places on the web and flange ends you can grind butchers, hardys, fullers and such handy dies. Having it strapped to a wood block gives you a spot to straighten pieces and set stake tools like a bick horn and such usefull stuff.I think you'll like your new set uup. Please let me know if it sprouts an anvil, I have slacker Rail around doing nothing useful. Frosty The Lucky.
