ndnchf
My Fisher looks a lot like yours but has the raised eagle. Its just a tad under 100 lbs, I was told its from th 1870s. Mine sits on a covered patio and I invite my wife to join me at the forge and make something now and then. Now the anvil and her are friends ;)
ThomasPowers
Ahh could you give your wife my contact details---just in case? I like Fishers. (and like George I'm in a Steel/Wool relationship with me being the steel half...)
ndnchf
Probably won't do much good. I'm an old retired navy man. When I go, I'll be buried at sea and she'll put the anvil in with me to make sure I sink to the bottom!
Francis Trez Cole
you have it use the anvil I have one much older. keep her happy and when she wants something made then you have leverage. why would you want an anvil just collecting dust. Pulsepushthepopulace
I've reached the end of the argument, and I have failed to win the battle, but the spoils of the war are still out there... I've found a home for the anvil until I I can use it for my own showcase... My father-in-law is gonna mount it on a stump in his office, where a bottle of fine bourbon will rest by it's side... Woody
Tie a goat to the anvil, let her throw out the goat and she will hardly notice the anvil.
