Alright I've been looking into building a lightweight tire hammer (somewhere around a 25 lb ram) and the one thing I can't get my hands on is the specs for spring. When in doubt, ask the experts, right?

What kind of spring usually goes into the DuPont linkage?

i know how everyone seems to use a standard compression coil spring but why not use leaf springs,i think it might be easier to make also. to answer your question i dont know exactly what spring you will need sorry.

Call, Little Giant Power Hammer and order a 25lb spring. Use the same measurements for the 25lb LG linkage and it will just fine.

So how would you forge or form a spring for a power hammer?
