My dad once found a nest in his back yard after running it over with a mower. He was stung over a dozen times. Now he has been known to be a little vengeful. He found their entry/exit hole and, at night, slowly poured 4-5 gallons into the hole. He waited about an hour for the gas to settle in and tossed a burning stick to the hole. That's when he found out there were two holes. Both had a foot-long finger of flame and burned for about an hour. never had a problem with them since.

Get a plastic water bottle and put gasoline in it, wait for night time, unscrew the cap an put it in the hole so that the bottle blocks the hole while the gas pours in. The fumes will kill the nest. Be sure to do it at night so that all the little monsters are home

They got me on my tractor this Summer too. Ten stings in the forehead. Luckily my father in law,a retired MD,was visiting and had stuff to give me a shot....... Went back at night,not that night,with diesel ( doesn't blow like gasoline ) and had a heart to heart talk with the little critters.

Liver and skunks sounds like a wonderful idea. I don't know which would be worse the smell of skunk or the sting of hornet. :rolleyes: I'm glad my biggest problem is only a few Bark Scorpions.
