Sask Mark
Looks alright to me. Not too many people would turn down a 147 pound Peter Wright with a fairly nice face and edges.

Sask Mark
It's all forged wrought iron with a steel face plate forge welded on.

ThomasPowers
One of the great brands of anvils and the face looks to be in really good shape---don't remove any face! As an english anvil it was marked in the CWT system where (from the left) the first number is "hundredweights"== 112 pounds second number is quarter hundredweights so 28 pounds and can only be 0 - 3 Third number is in pounds and can only be 0 - 27 so 1 x 112 + 1 x 28 + 7 = 147 pounds
MOblacksmith0530
Lovely, anvil I have a 108 lb Peter Wright, and a 148 Mouse hole both were probably made in the same place in England, the same place as yours.
