Elemental Metal Creations
I spent an afternoon at bigfootnampa's a week or so ago . I got to see what coal is like, much better that the charcoal that I normaly use. I also got to try a power hammer. here are some pic's We made me a nail header (no pic's) and converted a 2 lb ball peen hammer head to a diagonal peen hammer. I had a great time. Many thanks to Bigfootnampa.
Frosty
Good for both of you! There's nothing like being in the company of smiths to stretch your skills and I learn more from teaching than most classes and clinics I've attended. Everybody benefits. Frosty the Lucky. bigfootnampa
That's often true Frosty. I had a good time also and did indeed stretch my own skills too! How is that hammer working? I have a new project just completed... a replacement door lever set for my wife's recently acquired 1951 model "Spartan" travel trailer. I'll try to get some pictures up later today. Thanks for coming over Jerry!

Marksnagel
Looks like you had a great time. Nice looking hammer, should see a lot of use I hope. II saw bigfoot's post about the Spartan and the door latch, nice latch. I know where there is a 16ft '65 Airstream just sitting there in the weeds. I would love to get my hands on it but haven't found the owner yet.
Elemental Metal Creations
The hammer works very well altho I haven't used the peen much. I use the anvil edge more that the peen. I made my wife a russian rose for V-day last night.
