Old N Rusty
I just bought a new Makita grinder. On the power cord is a plastic cylindrical thing that slips loosley up and down the wire and seems to serve NO usefull porpose. What is this thing there for? sanddraggin
I've seen that on a lot of electrical equipment lately and have installed them on some new camera cords (or something similar, don't remember exactly) as per instructions. It's some kind of magnet that filters bad mojo through the cord.
pkrankow
Does it hold the wrench? Phil
Dodge
A picture would be helpful, Dan. I have a Makita 4" grinder I got new and the only thing it had attached to the cord was a plastic strap to wrap around the cord when you neatly roll up the cord to stow it in its proper place...... RIGHT!!! That was the first thing to go B)
mcostello
Do they make a "bad mojo" device that I could wear ?
Pault17
Ladies used to call them Girdles :D :D The other idea is a hydration pack filled with a nice single malt or KY bourbon
qwerksc
Possibly a ferrite choke. They stop stray rf from screwing up the tool. or to keep the rf from screwing up something else like cell phones or computers.
