Going to put this back in service.

Just had to roust up a low rpm 2hp motor and a drum switch.

Been repaired but I think it will roll on.

Neat old machine. How thick of material do you figure it'll handle?

There's only one classification------ never thick enough!

Got that right! Not sure but from measuring the rolls similar machines have the capacity of 3/16"x 6' with the repair I'm not sure I would push it. I did 3/8" x 2' in a real gentle radius.

The big one is 7" the pinch is right under 6".

Moving a bit fast still, I would really like to keep all my parts. I can hook up a VFD but don't know if I can use the drum in series as a deadman? Anybody ideas?

Those are nice machines! A friend of mine made his own and he uses the daylights out of it. He sure couldn't make the scale of sculpture he makes without it that's for sure. Be careful you don't get ate by that machine.

I worked at a shop that had a big old roller like that it was about 80 years old. I loved to use it we used to roll whole scroll panels in it. It was also a flat belt conversion too.
