Cody
Well here is my first Damascus knife. I have make cable and chainsaw damascus, but this is my first regular layered pattern weld. It is 80 layers of 1095 and 15n20 etched in 25% FC for about 20 min. It is about 5 1/4" long. It is in a ladder pattern(most of you knew that though). Thanks for looking. Any advice or critique is welcome.I tried to resize it. See if it works.

Cody
Thanks everyone. Chad the handle is Brazilian Cherry. My Brother-in-law installs stairs and gave me a piece. It is really hard wood. I don't think that you could drive a nail in it if you had to without a pilot hole. It burns really easy when working it also. I have several coats of Danish Oil on it for a finish, I don't know if that is good enough. WHat do you all put on your handles, assuming you didn't drop the big coin for the stabilized stuff? Altusjg
Great looking knife. I have a billet of 1095 and 15N20 welded up, drawn out and twisted. Its been on the back burner for a few weeks but i plan to get back to it soon. I still have to pound out the twist, draw it out and fold it over a few times. I'm doing it by hand and havent found it very easy to move. Definately not like the RR spikes i've been practicing on. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours did. Again.... Great Job!!
