Strine
What on earth is happening to the weather. Here we are, middle of December; temperatures in the forties on some days and in the thirties on average; Stage 3 water restrictions about to come into force after seven years of drought... you can only drink beer now, water is banned; a bushfire that's burnt for the last two weeks has blackened 3 million acres and raised a score of houses, and we get SNOW, yes snow on Christmas day. What next.
Frankw
Yes Strine I agree the weather here in Ireland today is mild and fine and no sign of snow or frost too mild for the time of the year. What is happening?
ladysmith
Snow in Australia....in Dec? So that's where it went. What are you guys doing with snow in the summer? Pam
Rantalin
Yep, not a white Christmas here either, it sleeted a bit, but no snow.
cheftjcook
I don't know what happened to it either...BUT... I am glad and give thanks we are not burried in it as other parts of the country. It is 51 and mild when it is usually 25-30 and snowy this time of year. TIM
HWooldridge
Strine, It's an El Nino winter in the Pacific so that might be jacking with you. We have also seen many extremes here. We just had 2 inches of rain over the weekend but prior to that, it had been many months without any appreciable rain. Square hay bales were up to $9 in some places (was $3 the year before) - of course, nobody except the irrigators had any. Global warming is here to stay for a while so we are liable to have some more crazy weather before it settles down(?).
