March 14, 201115 yr Hi All, I picked up a Hay Budden anvil last week on Craigs List. It weighs 103 lbs and is 4 X 28 and has the number 182314 on the front foot. If anyone can tell me anything about this style of anvil and the approximate year it was made I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.
March 14, 201115 yr "Style" is the standard blacksmith's "London Pattern"; Size is a bit small for a dedicated shop anvil; but a GREAT size for a travel/demo anvil. It's in great shape; so go heat some steel and HAMMER! A very nice anvil indeed! Don't have AinA at work so someone else will have to cover the SN part.
