Oh, re: if Gutenberg has any Smithing books, not really, but there are a few which may be of interest to some who might want to make their own furniture for the workshop, The one on Glasswork more as a novelty, but hey, if yer' temps can make it that high,,,
So many of these are for noveltys sake, but some like Mechanics for Boys can have some useful tidbits. Sorry if this list is too far from the particular topic of this thread, but I'm sure most books will hold some relevant & helpful info, or at least make up for it in novelties sake.

I have tried to access the Crafts site in the UK, but their website seems to have changed since the last time I went, and I cannot find the books listed... any suggestions, or does anyone have a current link? I see a couple listed in this thread that I didn't see before.

Craft publications

Try this link, Rumour has it they are being withdrawn from the internet (if they have not already disappeared) so get them to disc while you can.

Here is an interesting book that may be of use to smiths creating historical presentations for the public. It is an instructional book originally published in 1872 on making a significant number of wooden items for the home including a bucket:

Title: The Sloyd System of Wood Working: with a brief description of the Eva Rodhe model series and an historical sketch of the growth of the manual training idea
Author: B.B. Hoffman
Published: New York, Chicago etc. American book Co. c1892
