Dan P.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Old-vintage-anvil-/250699076086?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a5ed451f6 Has anyone any idea what this was for? It's a German anvil that has fallen to bits and been repaired by welding a plate onto the side. You can see in the picture an enormous crack coming down from under the plate, which someone has tried to weld up. Why does the plate have two hole in it? Probably because that was the bit of plate they had on hand. Anyhow that is one knackered anvil!
Mainely,Bob
Now THAT is one ugly anvil. Yard art for sure!At least it can serve to keep a good working anvil out of someone`s garden.
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Looks like a good one to do some anvil shooting with.
zampilot
It looks like something made in Mordor for an Orc master to use. Ask JRRR Tolkien!
pkrankow
The horn, heel and hardy look OK, but nothing between all that. Wow, yard art for sure! Phil
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Looking at the pics closer it appears to me that it may have been broken completely in two at one time. It could always be turned into an ASS, Anvil Shaped Swage .

Frosty
what the hey, a little epoxy and some bondo and a guy could use it for a master and start casting anvils, ala Fisher or Soderfors. Frosty the Lucky.
