Dan W
Still learning and would like to know what is the best or most prefered overall blade grind for a general purpose work knife. Something I would use in the shop and put on my belt for hiking the woods.
Robert Mayo
I like flat ground blades but you will find that everyone has there own preference as to what grind is better. Bob

Rich Hale
Might help to think of this as if we were talking about a pickup truck: Bet if we asked a lot of folks on here what is the best pick up brand and style to drive we would get alot of different answers. And each one of them may be well supported for what that pereson likes and has a need for. If you have something you use knves for it may be worth your while to make a few knives with different grinds, and maybe even diffeent shapes and see what you prefer. Don A
If I was making it... Big chopper... convex or appleseed. Straight razor... hollow grind. Medium user... flat grind. However, my favorite store-bought EDC is a Gerber Armor. It has a concave / hollow ground American tanto style blade, and I love it.
