Dan W
I'm looking for anything published on the subject of firesteels or strikers as used in a flint and steel kit. I'm looking mainly for patterns and styles used in different eras and locations around the world.

BIGGUNDOCTOR
Mike was the man when it came to flint strikers, and you can see his work in his photo gallery. Unfortunately he recently passed away, but luckily his post are still available to help guide new striker makers. It amazed me that he had done so much research on such an item that most folks don't give a second thought to. I learned a lot about the humble flint striker from his posts. brianbrazealblacksmith
KB here... Check out Norm Larson. I believe it is Larsonbooks.com He has a huge collection of blacksmithing books for sale at very reasonable prices. He is often at blacksmithing conferences. :)
