November 19, 200916 yr Hello Everyone, I joined this site earlier this year. I have been interested in working with metal for several years now. I have been fortunate enough to be able to set up a workshop at home, with a lovely old forge and various tooling. My journey now is to learn how to use it well. As a motor mechanic of 16 years, I am well aware that I can't beat experience. I am learning more and more, each time I forge some metal. Thankyou very much for providing a place for experienced, and not so experienced people/iron workers to communicate. I greatly appreciate the time and energy that you people put in to generating with each other. Jason.
November 19, 200916 yr You may want to go to the home page and click on the Blueprints section. There are several how-to tutorials there that may give you reason for building a fire and moving some metal. (grin).
