Steve Sells
the blank and unknowing mind is a wonderful thing to see. Welcome to I Forge Iron
unkle spike
Best investment of time would be to find a local Blacksmith group to fall in with, they can steer you toward equipment for sale, and along with Iforgeiron they can help when you get stumped on a project. Welcome, and enjoy.

Frosty
Welcome aboard dvinesco, glad to have ya. An empty vessel yearning to be filled eh? I think I'll call you Clay. Get together with some local guys, there are plenty in Wa. Best way to learn the craft is with a mentor. Not that we won't be more than happy to answer your questions, offer advice and make up wild stories for you. Frosty
unkle spike
Wild stories is right....visit the Chat on any given evening and you will find a good deal of BS'ing going on, and once in a while some discussion of Blacksmithing.
Rob Browne
Welcome to IFI, plenty of info here to help fill in the void :)
Quenchcrack
One of the scariest things I have seen is someone who doesn't know how much they don't know. Whether in smithing, management (Oh, don't get me started on that) or anything else, knowlege is power. When someone knows they know nothing, they have already made progress. It is easier to fill an empty vessal than a fountain of ignorance. Welcome aboard, dvinesco, ask away!
