Bob Wilkerson
Has anyone used the 250# version of Steve's Anvil. I'm about to purchase one and thought i should ask around before I sell my Grandson to pay for it. Bob
Ernesto Brown
My dad and I thought your posting was very funny. Sorry, but we are novices and have no experience with anything but our 148.5# PW.
Bob Wilkerson
Thanks for the post. We Grandfather's have a strange sense of value....on most days my Grandson, either of them is worth a good bit more than $1200, but there are those days when i probably would take some cheap cast iron for either of them. Bob Wilkerson
i guess we're not allowed to post web addresses, but if you do a search with that info it will take you to steve's site which includes several pictures of the anvil. easilyconfused
The link worked for me. No experience with them though.
Frosty
The link worked for me too. Nice looking anvil but there's no info as to the alloy, rockwell of the face, etc. so I'd have to ask some questions. Frosty
Alwin
On the homepage they say its 495 Brinell hardness. I looked on websites for conversion to Rockwell but I am not sure about the different Rockwell scales they show.
ChrisB
I remember reading somewhere that they were good anvils. Looks like they have changed to a new name.http://www.ratholeforge.com/index.htm

Brian D
I am not very far away from Jackson, Wyoming and I generally get up that way a couple times a year. I may stop by and pay them a visit, It looks like a handsome anvil, but I don't know much about them.
