As kids we'd walk the tracks looking for torpedoes, once in a while one would fall off as the train approached and not get fired.
what they transported live torpedo's via rail one would think that they would have enough sense to activate them one loaded on the vessel or is there some kind of land torpedo i dont know about?

I didn’t know modern saw blades were high carbon. I’ve always assumed they were mild steel with carbide tips attached.
mild steel bends to easy when cutting so it needs to have carbon

My wife says, "organized folks are just too lazy to look for things". She counts me in that category.
my mother is the opposite of that. me and my father have given her that line a few times or "ok you want a ___________ give me 15 minutes and I'll bring it to you"

I discovered early on it takes a much softer touch to torch a bolt out without damaging the threads with oxy prop than oxy acet.
this is one reason my father uses (and i prefer) oxy propane. he is a heavy duty mechanic and there are times when things rust snap and don't come out. propane will stop at that rust line and cut the bolt out where acetylene will damage the threads just one more reason do go with a propane torch (we have an acetylene torch in the shop and some times I use it but I'll often wait for him to come home and grab the propane from his truck) oh and another plus a 20 lb propane tank lasts about as long as a medium sized acet. tank

sinDoc so true if its tight just allow it to drip off
a trick my father taught me with tapered bearings is to weld a bead on the inside this causes it to contract and thus slip out
