  1. Then you have a 4" bore cylinder. A lot of modifications have been made if this used to be a 50 ton press. At 2000 psi you can expect about 25,000 lbs. force. You should be ok with 5HP. You will still get the pressure and flow from your pump to handle anything you will be doing at home.

EDIT.  Cutting your HP in half is also going to cut you work load in half. You really need a hp per gpm to get full capacity.

  2. I hope she's doing well and recovers faster than me. I had my bowels worked on 9 weeks ago and am still trying to get over it. I will continue to pray for her.

  3. That still shouldn't cause it to do what it's doing. You really need a pressure gauge in the system. You can get a 3000 psi liquid filled gauge at tractor supply. Need to know what the pressures are during stroke and at end of stroke.

Does the new pump have a built in relief? I think it is called an unloading valve. I bet the control valve has a relief also. You could be getting conflict between the two.

  4. We're getting down to the nitty gritty. I have to be at UAB at 5:00am tomorrow. Surgery could take 8-10 hours. In the hospital for a week. Recovery is 4-6 months. My nerves are shot. The anesthesia is going to be a blessing. I just want to wake up and it be over.

I need your prayers more than ever tomorrow.

    Thanks everyone.

  5. Hey Randy, I need the specs on that Ozark hoe. I can see how the blade is made but what is that attaching it to the handle. Is that flattened allthread? I have some of the rockiest soil you ever saw. Rocks the size of baking potatoes.

  6. Keep praying guys. Path report was not good. I will be going back in on June 12 for cystectomy. Good news is they can reconstruct a new bladder. Bad news is its a long recovery. I don't scare easily but this one has me worried. Prayers and friends help so say one for me.
