Kanca makes a post vise. Forged steel I believe.
John Switzer did a review of one if I recall.

I had a coup!e suits from the FCC visit the job site and made me shut down my GPS base. We had to update our old and now restricted frequency range.
Thought it weird because this unit didn't transmit more than a mile or 2 and they discovered it somehow. Was in town so I figured it something to do with aircraft

Me not knowing anything, would try to split a tube or fold a thin bar then flatten it before curving after which I would open it back up. Could that work?
-
I love the flowers John. Nice to see something other than roses. Very nice

Nice candle stick. I have been using my welder a lot more lately and want to try one now.
-
Nice. What does the other style leaf look like?

Thank you Scott.
I feel likewise about your talent. Your stuff has the flair I feel mine is missing at times

Imagine you are told you could pick one thing. What would you get?
I could spend a week looking around that place.

No info but she is a real beauty!
I would love to work on a big anvil like that someday.

Very nice hammer and tongs look great for first try, look good for third try for that matter - good job eveyone

I would upset the end of a round bar then use my round hole to form the top then a small chisel and a swage to detail underneath the top. Sounds like fun and send pictures :-)

Super cool. I want to try something like that.

Nice swage Sav. Really nice on the flower John, you have a lot of depth there

Super cool. Looks very well done

A big enough tub and/or pump might do it I would think. Good question.

Jennifer that is the best looking hawk I have ever seen. Love the wrought

Nice anvil. The heel looks really thick on that one like a Brooks.
$4 a pound no problem in So. Arizona

That is so cool. Really fun piece and perfect name. I like it a lot.

Not blacksmithing since it was too hot to light the forge but I used a hammer and stake that I made from 1040 so all good. This is my second attempt at raising and super happy with the way it came out for a practice piece. Took a couple hours and an unbelievable amount of hammering, probably 10-12 annealings. Thanks for looking
.
What did you do in the shop today?

That's a cool inner tube puck John. I could see being useful in several sizes and even shaping or rounding the top.
I am interested to hear how you like it.
