I am 6' 4'' and growing. I am currently in a 29x36, (was 28x36). I wear wrangler cowboy cuts. check amazon, they have more in odd sizes than a store would.

super nice job. i envy your symmetry.

pwetty pwetty. Soft back draw?

the wee brass one is most likely a salesmans sample not a jeweler's anvil. would make a neat little paperweight.

to paraphrase what TP said, you don't need to do anything. keeping it dry is the best thing you can do. anything else is essentially a waste of time at best.

those horseshoes look suspiciously like your equine roller skates, Das.

I am 6'5 and change in my boots, so i have to watch my head even when i am not wearing a hat. needless to say i have had my share of head bonkers.

glad you are OK.

my first was 10x10 with no walls, dirt floor. my second was 16x14 with 3 walls, gravel floor. my third and current one is 25x45 with 4 walls, concrete floor, and insulation. Neither of my first shops were at all bad for the amount of equipment i had at the time, but as your skills grow, your tooling grows, and it sure is nice to have more space. as a general rule, i think bigger is better. i have never heard of anyone complaining of too much shop space.

That could be my mom talking.

I can't get enough of your work and this one is my favorite so far. Super unique. keep um comin.

Today, I made clinker.
(Actually, I made a bunch of stuff, but I'm not really happy with most of it. A rather frustrating session in the forge.)
that sounds like my last shop day.

Your parents weren't taking chances on having sufficient quenchant.
nope. it was actually a kiddy pool in our living room it a drafty old stone farmhouse in PA.
