A new item for this years craft show season. -
yet another fireplace screen. This one is of the customers design. it is for a rumford fireplace when fully open it is 63 inches wide and 49 1/2 inches tall . there are two halves each is hinged to fold in half again for storage. the finish looks poor as it had just had a second coat of stove paint applied. please excuse the messy smithy, (grin) -

At the house warming party where I gave the homeowners my first yard torch the duraflame log was lit. We left 4 1/2 hours later and it was still burning. The torch was a hit....I now have at least 10 orders for more of them. -

My wife found a ships porthole at a yard sale. I decided it would make a nice end table for the hearth in our livingroom. I put this together and got it primered and painted in just a few hours this morning 3/21/09 -

Finsihed and painted 3-7-2009 -
finished the leaf spring assembly, added a brace from main upright to the anvil, fabricated the push rod (length to be determined later), added the stock connecting the ram to the spring. Then I wired my motor wrong ! I may have caused terminal dammage to the motor. I will have it tested and wired by a pro. Hope to have it running next weekend. -
