Advise On Protecting Anvil

When I leave my shop ,a dirt floor unheated barn, I throw my leather apron over my 289# Peter Wright. Seems to keep it well protected from moisture. -
my 2 cents. Ask a brick mason before you do dammage you will regret.

I have had an acute case of anvilitis for the past 11 yrs. Bad news: There is no cure. I once bid on an anvil on ebay. won the bid went to pick up the anvil and came home with 4 anvils............ Harley -

Does anyone know what year the last Peter Wright anvils were made?

I had some plans left on my welding/layut table one evening . Upon returning in the morning there were multiple racoon tracks on the plans.......no work done though .

Did one coat of cold galvanizing compound, two coats of primer, and three coats of flat black. -

First I did a coat of Cold galvanizing coumpound. Then primer and I am on the third coat of flat black paint. -

Just finished the fabrication for this piece . welded up a bracket foon the back top attach to the house.

Thats clean compaired to my smithy at times....but at least I know where every tool is when I need it ......

PLasma cut 3/16 plate . Full moon , cactus and two howling coyote. dim. 3'w x 4 1/2' H . cactus and coyote raises 1" off the moon -
remove the firepot , unscrew the legs and it breaks down for ease of transportation. -

When I am finished for the day I cover my anvil with my leather apron.......seems to work very well for me. -

It's like owning a Harley......you paid much more for it so in your mind it is better. BTW I have owned a Harley and now I ride a 1600 Kawasaki.........and I do own a Hoffi hammer.I use it less than the hammer I pais $24.00 for .
