I use the transmission belting on my LG 50#,for replacement belts I go to Belt tec in Portland Oregon,I got my 2 belts for $60 each,good people. -
birds are tough to do and to get them to not look motionless,first pic are swollows,2nd adn 3rd are forged work twisted onto 1" round stock mainframe,a condor was in my mind.You'r only limited by ones imagination.

I'm still hopeing that someone has a couple of extra knuckles,I would be glad to pay top dollar for them to keep my 1906 hammer original,541-994-2118.We are Rose Lodge Forge.

nice hammer ,a little bit different than mine but I guess age of tool,I'm looking for original knuckles for the T bolts,I went to Little Giant but all they had was flat stock machined and not the cast parts,I want to keep my hammer "original" as so is the rest of it like yours appears to be,could you give me a closer pic of the breaking system set up on top ,mine doesn't have this so it rotates a couple revolutions as I step off the treadle.My hammer is mfg. in 1906.

congrats on your hammer,an injury to my shoulder put me out of business for 8 months until I found my.50 lber #1306,made in 1906.It had sat in a farmers field up at Tri Cities in the Colombia George Washington state for 42 years until he gave it to me in 2004.I found little giant helpful for most parts.I wanted to replace some pretty worn out parts,in particular the knuckles,BUT,the replacements were just machined parts,I wanted cast origionals.If anyone out there has a spare 2 of them I would pay them genereously for them.I'm a full time blacksmith and am at Rose Lodge Forge on the central coast of Oregon,holler at me if you have or know where I can get "original" knuckles,541-994-2118.Thanks and "happy hammering".Don.

many people have talked about reconditioning surfaces of anvils but no one has stated what type of welding rod to be used to build up surfaces.Someone please inform me on this process,thanks and happy hammering.I was thinking of using 8018 low hydrogen rod ?
