  1. Well,  wood wuck,,  me being the pessimist I am,,( is the glass half full or half empty,, it depends on if you are filling it up or pouring it out),, I would state shipping was already paid the first time. You had nothing to do with it being defective, not as stated in advertisement so forth  so on,,, Ideally it could be scraped and forego any shipping, Anywho,Im just venting, been to a county Board of Supervisors meeting tonight, its amazing just how slow the wheels can turn.

  2. If in fact the reputable online retailer is a contracted , licensed , legal or (how ever you wish to state) dealer for Ridgid, I would defiantly deal with the online store to cover all return cost.   Also apprise Ridgid , as you have, of your experience.  It would be up to the online retailer to get any adjustments from Ridgid. If you have any blacksmith or metal crafters associations in your area that could possibly inspect the anvil and issue a letter on its current condition , that may be useful also. And if paid by credit card and being an online purchase they may b able to help.

  3. Answered an ad for a $20 hydraulic cylinder with hoses and got to looking at the fellows other stuff.  He is liquidating and heading to South America.  Already sold a Hay. Bunden 400#  and 25 ton little giant a couple months back.  He had just collected these items over the years.  However he did stuff like Das and Aus  " old stuff art" ?  Alot of put together figures and creations all over the place.  I eyed the swage block and vice laying against the side of a building.  Looked as if had been there since he had aquired them.  Im known to be tight as the bark on a hickory tree but I didn't haggle to much this time. He has some equipment to unload soon and I am hoping he will call me as indicated. Also has a solid steel spool. Approx. 4' tall x 3' wide.  I dropped 120 for the three items.  Don't let the hole in the middle fool you.  It is cut out of solid steel.  Must weigh at lest 250# if it weighs an ounce. Was all me and another strapping fellow could do to lift it up four foot on to the truck .

  4. This did not follow me home, the 20 oz bottle for a size reference.  A guy said his father worked at the plant during the 60's-70's when they made them and painted green with a grill layed over the pan and sold as bbq grills. $ 69.99.  It has all the correct casting marks on each side , Buffalo Forge, the blower was freed and had a mini turuye. The blower being so small I could only get a whisper of air up into the pan as " the guy" said it was all that was needed to get the charcoal going.  I'll let you decide.
