Philip in Chaina those modification are done O N L Y for me and for Germany u can not fined it in the USA because the late Bob Grahem the former agent in the stats did not want to pay for the changes made. YOU can NOT find it also in CHINA or else where. for the same reason !! MORE OVER . now at the factory there is an air hammer expert from our side that is controling evry part and the assembly to be according the quality control specification that we have decided on when visiting the anyang twice. a hammer that is not standing the control is NOT shiped. hofi -

IForgeIron Blueprints Copyright 2002 - 2008 IFORGEIRON, All rights reserved. BP1038 Wing Nuts 03 by Uri Hofi The flat steel wing nut. The steel is 3/4 inches x 5/16 inches flat the length is 3-1/4 inches. You mark 1-1/4 inches from both sides and leave 3/4 inches in the middle. The marked steel. Using the magnet again to hold and incise with the 3/16'' fuller. The marked steel -very important is to mark from both sides and incise too. We grind the ends round the two sides. Put the hot steel on the air hammer dies on the sharp edges a bit tilted to fined the correct place. Level the steel and forge hard. Hold firm go half way turn 180 degrees and forge again to get the final form. Repeat the other side the same. The steel forged from the two sides --the final form. Aligning. Forging the final wing nut form with the 3/16'' fuller. And marking the hole center with a center punch. Punching the hole with the punch from both sides. Again the thread is 5/16'' so I go in a bit more with the punch to get the correct od for the thread. All the three wing nuts can be forged with the hand only. It just take more time and you get a bit different form.

Incised with the hold of the magnet and the 3'16'' fuller. And round it the same like in wing nut Blueprint BP1036 Wing nut 01 With a 1/4-5/16'' fuller we neck down to the anvil until we get a 1/4 '' neck. Bend it on the anvil fork a bit more then 45 degrees. Hold with a pickup tongs in the middle and heat both sides. Put both wings parallel od the air hammer die and forge. Be sure and hold firm. The finished wing nut form. Punching the hole. The finished wing nut on the punch. The finished wing nuts.
