  1. I forgot to say i made it today now here is pictures.
  2. I dont get it it still sucks air. But when i remove housing air go to all side without contol.
  3. I will need to fasten this to one board. I dont know how long this fan will live cause it is electricity but i am going to 21 century without hand powered blowers. It took me less space and it is portable.
  4. It falled away in junk so i now using rebar until i find it somwhere in my junk. There is dozens wooden metal leftovers on workbench so i need to be cleaned to find haft.
  5. I took fan from, it my uncle helped me it work when you plug it. I have ear protection if noice is bothering it is like headphones.
  6. I need help i have got vacuum and i want to convert it to blower how to do it. To notice this vacuum is making too much noise it work how to make it work like blower i dont want to ruin it when i take it apart.
  7. I think the most cheap and simple is to break nail than bend it over rod and than to file it. It had thread on it might i should put back nut, but it get unscrewed and one opinion more is to
  8. I never saw double bit axes to be honest i saw it have imagine it like weapon, not tooll. It is very dangerous tool becasause if it twist you have two blades on each side. It woned me i saw videos on youtobeu when folks attach axe on handle they wedge it and than cut wood to be eaven with axe head. Why you do that, i would like to leave 1 inch 2.45 cm so it can pervent let's say axe that are too thin to attach like pickaxe (becaseu it is uncomfortable for hand if it is too tin). Why just dont give some space for wood to expand more it expand it more holds. Spliting mauls associate me to simple wedge that have handle in it. Axe for hewing should have blade edge reduction from thick to realy thin there is no pause.
  9. Yes but double bit axe is hard to handle cause you cant hit it with mallet. you can swing with it.And to notice one thing this axes are attached like tomahawk from bottom to top. They have wide eye so when you make (hornbeam in Balkans cause it si strong wood and with good grain like hickory, Englishman will use ash, ash is fine but that wood is too much geting apart like toothipicks ) .
  10. I don't do this with spliting axe . We leave it thick so it work like wedge. This technique is good when you want to hew wood or cut some branches from it. And it can be used to draw out chainsaw when stucked in wood. Just hit axe in place where saw blade is stucked. Hit axe using wood like malet and you will wedge out chainsaw.
  11. Ok how to attach leather or even better trucky inner tube i have bicycle outside tire. I do this it was eaven i tryed to bend some metal and this jaw at this thin spot has bended. Will metal eat rubber leather etc.
  12. Do you have advice for jaws how to level it up i can use sladge hammer and i will level it but issue is it will break kiding. I mean you cant use force on it anymore.
  13. How to straigten it up? To be in level you can see that one is higher it is my fault i tried some "acrobation" with metalo and i somehow make higher one jaw than other. Can bicycle oil be used. What kind of oil i don't know.
  14. I hope i dont break rule i opened topic about this vise but it was releated to haft. Now i want to show all parts that i tryed to repair put sme grease etc. (First time in life bought grease to lubricate it ) . First swivel base was disasembled. I wanted to se what is hapening inside. As you can see on picture this is how it how vise So let's go with explenations. On 4. pictures in row you can see how swivel base was made and how it works with this screw. On 5. picture i have issue with jaws is this too much? Can this be fixed i dind't touch it i guess icould break it with hammer if i try to straighten it up. 6. picture show you how thread is secured so you can't basicly uthread thread couse it have one brake, that breake is this metal that is placed in hole located at thread. And it don't allow it to move. I removed that metal so i can put this thing out. 7 picture show wher is nut welded and how vise work thred go in there everything is fine with it. 8 ,9. I lubricated thread. 10 11.Show i fixed issue with handle. Use one nail break it cap and break sharp spot off it than you can bend that nail and use it like haft stop.
  15. The base is drilled and have two holes under that holes there is one metal recentengular that have thread on it when you tight screw you go in that pieces so when it is dont that (metal pieces) is pushed to top and that's how it hold.
  16. That is issue but i need to straighten up this rod. I can't heat it. I dont have energy for that (forge, torch etc). Is there some material like cooper aluminium flexibile enaught to bend it.
  17. The handle do this. And when i tight some metal example. By gravitation it fall down. That kind of work steal time when i need to crouch to bring back handle. Than return to rasping. I tried to straighten up this with hmamer but it get worse. How to straight this handle. Swivel base is rotating too much when i clamp longer pieces off metal or wood. How to fix that too. I dont want to bother with this stupid and might easy to solve questions.
  18. Here you can see condition of my vise it is realy bad if we compare to commercial new one. The handle keep grinding vise stock.
  19. It get unscrewed from handle somehow. I dont now how, i wasn't thinking to work blacksmithing on this. It si for rasping sawing etc. But it get anoying to search handle all time when it come off. I will buy someday blacksmith vise so i can hit on it free than on this vise. I didnt' lubricated it. I need to take mor care about vise. Tomorow i will show picture of it.
  20. I have problem with my vise the handle parts are rod and nut on one side on other side is just somekind wire. Now i can't tight this handle so it won't fall of. One side is good but where thread go it is really bad. And i bend a litle bit haft. So it don't slide as it should. Do you have some tips how to care about vise. These screws that's have leverage are making problems too cause it use to rotate now when i try to rasp or file some pieces of wood or metal.
  21. To notice be carefull with drawing out axe when you od that don't force axe in wood knots. Or you will bend blade edge, It is easy to bend when you draw it too much and not temper it good. I can allways use file and restore this blade edge quickly without ginder it took me 5 minutes and it is shapr again.
  22. On first two pictures you can see axe hammered on third you can se without hammering proces only grinded. On 5 it is some small axe same process done. To notice after this drawing out they are shaper and better instead off just regrinding cutting edge. Axe with tin metal on handle is one that is not hammered and it is dull you can only regrind it again and again but that way you ruin axe. Only good for it is to hammer it like these two.
