  1. Mr. Caffrey, Just read your article and found it to be extemely clear and concise. It takes all the "mystery" out of the process, not only explaining the "How to's", but for me, just as important, the "Why's". Thanks, Gerry
  2. Thanks, but don't look to closely! I am amazed by the quality I see here, not to mention the photography. Goals for the Seeker.
  3. Thanks (to someone) for thumbnailing the pics. Sorry if it caused problems with the forum, I guess I haven't found out where or how to do that yet. Just found the sticky on posting photos, will do! Thanks again to the admin or member!
  4. This is my 9th knife. Very few people will ever see knives 1-8. Still on the steep part of the learning curve. Coffin Handle Bowie O-1 tool steel, forge welded 0-1 guard, bone scales, brass pins, modest file work.
  5. Thanks, I'm working on pictures now. Just bought a digital SLR and I'm trying to "get the hang of it".
  6. Jon McIntosh sent me, thought I'd just say Hello. We know each other from the Med Center. I spend most of my time hunting and fishing when I'm not at the forge. I' ve only been forging knives about 4 months now and I'm still setting up shop. I tend to read more than post until I get to know the members and see how the forum works. My Login comes from the name of my forge, Big Medicine Forge or BMF for short. My real name is Gerald McGuire

I'll be reading a lot more than posting until I get to know the members and see how the forum works. I live in Mississippi and work at one of local colleges, spend most of my time hunting and fishing when I'm not in the shop.
