Me being new to smithing i saw these anvils on ebay. can any1 tell me if there any good or to much money? there both Hay Buddens but the one with the green grass background is 116.00 without shipping and the ugly green one is 150 and the reserve is still not met... i will add in shipping costs when i get them. but i might have to drive down to (green backyard one is in tenessee and the ugly 150 dolla 1 is in south burlington new york:( so if i want it i may have to go for a little drive....:mad: The copyrighted photos were removed from this post.
  4. ok i am looking for an anvill in the 125 pound range. where would i find one? i live in b.c so i am totally doubtless that i will find 1 plz help!!:p
  5. what will be a good firepot? i want one that is small and 2-4 inches deep but dont have 24-7 access to a welder so would like to stick to somthing like a bowl or ect but it needs to be strong. yes 1 million people will prolly say use a brake drum but they suck and are heavy anoying chunks of steel. i would like the firepot to go into my steel table so i can make a pile of coal arrounnd it.

  7. for shure i would go with the anvil because there hard to find and lots of things will work for a blower. where did you find your anvils i am currently looking for 1?
  8. ok well i have a drain and i was thinkin of puttin it into a steet table with a hood over it. then i can still hook air up into it and an ash gate. i just need to kow where to find tongs and an anvil. im only 13 but i make stuff all the time and build little homemade devices. all i wast is a white hot heat. i am new so if any1 has any tips for me to use for forging of blacksmithing thats sweet. oh ya fpr a forge it needs to be easy to build and use. hehe srry for spellin mistakes if any1 is wondering my name is canadiangansta because i use it for everything and is super eassy to remember:p but ya i do want to change it:cool:
  9. well maby arround 3000 f more like 2500 or somthing to heat up steel quickly.
  10. what is a good homemade forge that uses charcoal and coal? i would like 1 that will heat steel up white or reach a heat of 3000 deg. i currently have a crappy brick 1 but it dosent even reach 2000 deg :mad:
