    Hi Mike, I filed the 3/8" radius in the blade, shaped and polished the front of the bolsters, drilled and finished the blade at the ricaso area then pinned the bolsters after heat treated with 2 1/8th inch pins. Used a lot of sand paper, and buffed.

  2. This is #3 for me.
    1084 stock removal
    Ivory paper micarta, 304 SS pins and bolster
    5" blade 4 1/2" handle
    10" hollow grind, tapered tang

    Fit and finish isn't what I'd hoped and one bolster went crooked, plunge is pretty wavy. Hand sanded the blade to 600 after these pics, and cleaned up the handle.

  3. I can't tell you how much I like this knife.

    Everything is appealing, every component complements the other to create a huge success.

    If you don't mind I would like to attempt to copy your design, although it would be in 1084. And I know it won't come close to your excellent execution.
