Lying is such a harsh term... exaggerating...
It looks pretty good to me. I'm getting ready to try my "second real knife" myself.

I would highly recommend building a Frosty T-burner and getting a good 0-30 psi propane regulator.

For the record, I think it's kind of silly to get irritated with folks who ask a question that was answered in another thread a long time ago. If, answering the same question a couple of times when asked by different people annoys you, just ignore the question and let someone else take up the talking stick. There's no need to tell people "that information is already covered somewhere on this forum or another one, so go look for it."
Personally I think that is counter productive to maintaining an active forum. If you want to be thought of as a teacher, and you want to be respected as one, get used to the idea of repeating yourself. It is always beneficial to go over the basics again.
One issue that I don't see anyone addressing about that point of view...
If every time those questions were asked, all the info was given again, the data quantity that Glenn has to pay for to keep this free to us site working ( as well as it can at least) would increase greatly.

What about wrapping the t part around for the eye?

$4500 sounds very reasonable and I'd think the demand would be there- from small working shops, if not so much from hobbyists.
Something I think might work in addition to turnkey presses would be to offer a "kit" option, where you could sell the power, hydraulics and controls, and let the buyer fabricate their own frame.
As far as desirable features... quiet operation would be nice, but I'm not sure its possible...
The problem with that Is the amount of structural integrity the frame needs. It takes definite skill to produce welds good enough for that. I know I don't have it.

Small boat crews wear many hats, especially if the recruiting officer isn't successful.
Frosty The Lucky.
So... Are our characters on a boat or a ship? As former U.S. Navy, I know there is a difference. Lol
-
On any typical ship the bridge crew is usually the smallest component.

Welcome aboard Hoosier32, I am a displaced Hoosier myself, born down near Loogootee. What did your granddaddy do with that anvil? Doesn't look even barely used.

I had tried several times to post my concern about whether he could be considered to have forged a forgery. But kept getting "fforbidden".

Good looking blade.

What does the plaque say? I can't make it out on my phone.

Monstermetal: I saw Mareko on Forged in Fire last night. Was the press he used in his shop the one you mentioned above?
-
My guess would be to be able to stabilize tools like drill bits or chisels when sharpening them.
-
That's good. Good luck. I myself am still at the stage of mostly trying to repeat small projects to improve my basic skills.
-
Sounds like a fun project. Do it and post pictures.
-
Now that is funny. On my tablet, it isn't showing the post I made that Frosty quoted... except for in the quote bubble in Frosty's post. Oh NO! Our first temporal paradox?
-
With the crew so far (myself included), there's likely to be more wisecracks and fun than serious rp. Lol. Don't get me wrong, I am capable and do enjoy serious rp... I just have trouble resisting a fun/funny sideslip.

I'm the other one Steve. Anybody already called the neurotic, xenophobic engineer character spot?
-
Where are you? There are probably more smiths closer than you realize and face to face can teach you way more in one afternoon than a month or more of YouTube and trial and error.
-
Lol.
I doubt that Mrs. Sells or Mrs. Stevens are too timid either. I know I do everything I can to keep on Mrs. Sheetz' good side. So far I have managed for 25 years plus.

Huh? I don't think you CAN forge a selfie STICK. A selfie bar on the other hand is a why not, sketch me a picture and It'll be right up.
Frosty The Lucky.
I don't know if I can agree with you there Frosty. Jim Coke's piece there has an organic enough flow and look to it, all that would be needed to fit the 'stick' designation would be to use rounded stock and maybe some bark texturing. Shoot, make the bottom two tabs leaves... golden.

Red... Sure... Absolutely... and so is the background of your profile picture...

I can't help by giving his name, I don't know him. But I do have a suggestion, perhaps if you posted a pic of the burner you have, someone might recognize the design and be more help. Good luck with the hunt.

I understand folks are busy. Just hoping this hasn't died. Lol
