fireplace forging project
close-up of detail on the front center of the project. this is approx. 8" x 8" - 3/8" stock wrapped with copper wire -a fun project it was. backround is a 10" 16 ga. channel welded to form a 3 sided cover and powder coated gold vien, hot wax finish on the scrollwork and buffed to a dull luster.
fireplace forging project
completed install of forging project - this was to cover where the old floor joists used to be embedded into the fireplace when the cabin was originally built, the floor above the living room was removed for larger open space.
candle holder
This candle holder holds a 3/4 inch x 12 inch candle. I started with a 6 inch piece of 1-1/4 inch x 3/8 inch stock. Finished size is roughly 4 inch long, 2 inch wide and 4 inch tall, wire brushed by hand, hot waxed and buffed lightly.
curved bench
I made 3 benches for around a fire pit, there is a tree (made from 1/4 inch rod in the center and 1 on each end). - seats 3 people comfortably
candle holder
This is a candle holder I made a few weeks back. I started with a piece of 5/8" round 48" long, flared and rolled the one end for the candle and blunt tapered the other - tri folded and forge welded and blunt tapered those ends, bent to shape. - from the anvilfire Iforge prints
