  1. DocsMachine Hi i was under the impression that they did not use TIN as it causes a corrasion with in the zinc alloy
  2. Its my under standing that carburetors are not made from aluminium i have allways knowen the metal aloy as Die Cast ---- dos it have another name ----it has zinc in it i would like to know what melting temp it melts at and what metals is the alloy made from Please & Thank you:)
  3. The price of Tin i am in new Zealand and i am having troble getting Tin ----can any one tell me the best place to get it ----- but more important is what is the price a Kg of the stuff thanks ----
  4. well thanks for that info it starting to look like thay maybe way to much exspence ----we could once owned the gas Ac&Ox bottals -but not any more we have to hire then $25 for the 2 bottals ,a month plus the cost of Gas ------ some one eles said that PSA only put out 95% Oxygen -- and that was not pure enouth for oxy-acetelyne welding -- is that cerrect?? Glenn Hi and Thank you for that info most interesting I understood it worked the same way a diver gets the bends ... the nitrogen in the blood boils when it is depressurized to fast the diver then has a gas in there blood and the Oxygen boiled later or at a lower pressuer ---but that's just me nutting it out --- himm wonder what the Absorption material is Zorbox marketed a small plant --but thet no longer doing it

Hi I am interested to find out about a PSA - Pressure Swing Absorption ---Oxygen Generator the ones for Generateing Oxygen for use in a small engineering shops ----gas welding of panil steel mostly for oxy-acetelyne welding all thow having enouth for Oxy propane cutting--- Would be a good thing to have ---I am interested in the cost of a P.S.A to do that type of work ---IF any one knows the Prices of these things that would be neet ---- Thank you for you time----
  8. Spark Eroding--- This works by useing spark erosion... To shape and drill steel --- I would like to know how they work what Amperage is needed DC I would say --- IT is done under a liquid --- That is used as a ((dyerlite)) its the opposite to an electrolyte as i understant it ---((Thats not the right spelling for ((dyerlite)) xxxxxx if i can find it )) So if any one can enlighten me Please that would be real neat Thanks ---tecnovist--

  18. Hi ...I have stated to make jaws for some vices i am rebuilding... making them from some old files I have Annealed in lime then cut drilled and fitted to the Vice.... I need to know what the best way and or Temperature to temper them at ??? Also some one said that this can be done in some type of mud dos any one know about this technique? Thanks for any info
  19. Hi --i would get a drill press some old drill bits and try out your cutting oil that you have and see what works best....
