  1. the shot was taken @ anvil rock in blackheath blue mountains nsw one of my fav spots for just sitting and thinking this exact anvil was thought to be stolen for many years(somehow it was tossed over the cliff) and only 2-3 years ago bush walkers came across it laying at the bottom of the valley so it was hosted back up using a helicopter and place back to were you see it now thanks for all you great ideas on how to get my fire going again the forge is ready .....all it needs is a spark

  3. well ok hello all ive been smithing for almost 15 years now (no fire for the past 3) did my time under Lindsey cole at ultimo tafe and yes i got my bit of paper to say im a blacksmith i live on my ironstone mountain nsw and up untill 3 years ago was a regular at the lithgow iron fest im sure there are sum here that may know me or at least i know you
  4. hi there im a noob here but have made many rail anvils in my time yes ruf cut the horn with oxy then grinder to clean up as for hardy hole it can be done but not many hardys will fit in it better to use your leg vice for holding hardy's

  6. hi all looks like a great place for me to relight my fire my forge has been cold for 3 years now i just cant find the fire within me ? what can i do ?
