  4. i was thinking of buying some 4140 as big a bit as i can afford and having it heat treated by a professional.how hard is hard enough for this type of anvil,any advice would be greatfull thanks mat.
  5. no mill option,these are scrap vermeer wood chipper blades the stock is 2by2 inch.the small blade comes from 10 inch chipper the others from a 18 inch chipper.oh yes they come pre drilled for welding.would also work well as tooling for home built power hammer

  10. G'day All Mat here from Brisbane. Hobby Smith and Collecting ready for Hobby Smithing (Mr Time-Poor). Did a few courses with Alan Ball @ Logan Village over the past few years. Have a young family, hoping to have the time to meet up with the guys at Eagle Farm in the very near future.
