February 7, 201016 yr Anyone know the weight of a Columbian 7" vise? I need to figure freight cost to have one I purchased delivered. Thanks for any help folks.
February 8, 201016 yr If I had to guess Bill Id say in the 135-165 range... I know thats a spread but maybe get you in the ball parK? Where is it coming from?
February 8, 201016 yr Author It's coming out of southern Cal. Larry. I've seen pics of it and other than being a little dirty it looks like brand new. Still going to have to make a vise stand like that one of yours. Where have you been scrounging anyway - man some of that material you used for your bending table is really heavy duty! My local junkyard has gone under and I don't have a clue where to look and scrounge stuff anymore.
February 8, 201016 yr My 7 1/4" vise weighs about 170 pounds. However, it's not a Columbian (it looks a lot like my smaller Peter Wright).

February 9, 201016 yr Author Frank evidently his controller (wife) doesn't have one. She must be petite and one of those women that can eat all day and not gain weight I guess. Larry when I start to make my vise stand I will come visit and scrounge right there!

February 9, 201016 yr I've got a 7" Columbian, I'm guessing it's all of 150# and probably a little more.
